Inner Journey Expectations

I think the trip will be very informative. I think that I will get to learn and experience a lot of different culture. I have not been to a lot of different places yet in my life, and New Orleans has been one of them on my bucket list to visit. I think this travel course will be a very enjoyable and exciting. Going on this trip means a lot to me. I feel like I need this trip to see diversity and have new experiences independently for myself. I hope to get an interesting view of different cultures and experience new food, artichture, and art. I took this course because I have never done a travel course before and I have always wanted to. I chose this one because New Orleans has been a place I have wanted to visit and it seemed like a perfect opportunity to take, that I couldn't pass up! I am very excited for this trip and to get out of the same old scenery for awhile. I am looking forward to being able to blog and write my experiences and to share my thoughts to people. I enjoy writing. I want to be a better writer and and I really like the idea of blogging. It interests me and I am glad I get this opportunity to learn how to blog and be able to have my own blog of an experience of mine. I am excited to try new food places and see art galleries. I am really excited for all of what this experience can give me! I am willing to try anything new and make some closer school friends, and have a great stress relief, fun trip.

Outer Journey Preperations

Preparing for my journey to a new City that I have never visited before has been tough. This trip came faster than I was ready for, especially with the holidays and all. I personally have not done much traveling in general, especially without my family and planning is not my strong suit. I wasn't sure what I should be packing to wear. During the meeting we had, I took notes of what you had said would be good to pack, such as comfortable shoes to walk in, since we will walking most of our time. It was honestly kind of stressful packing and thinking of every possibility of weather and items that I may need. I packed rain boots, rain jacket, and an umbrella. I packed two different tennis shoes. I packed multiple different outfit options, since I have no idea what I even want to wear yet. I made sure to have a good amount of spending available on my credit card, so I don't have to use my personal debit card while I am there, and I got cash out as well incase some places only take cash. I thought about how I can keep memories of this adventure, other than blogging my experiences. I made sure to pack my polaroid camera. I gave my parents and significant other my hotel information and a train information so they know where and how I will be traveling. I made sure to double check the type of luggage and bags I can bring with me on the train. I browsed the d2l site for this class to get accustomed to it and what I am supposed to do and rules and regulations.
